Encountering God 2024
We’re excited to be hosting our annual all-church conference, Encountering God, this weekend! We are expectant that the Lord will move in new ways as we gather to learn and worship together, and we look forward to seeing you there!
On this page you can find some helpful information for the weekend.
Registration & Check-in
We encourage everyone to arrive early, especially on Friday, as each attendee will be asked to check-in.
- Attendees will be directed to check in on the Plaza or at Kids Check-in (families & ADA) on Friday night to receive a wristband, which will allow you to come and go throughout the conference.
- For those who do not attend on Friday, please check-in at the Info Table in the lobby to receive your wristband.
- On Saturday, adults and youth that have checked-in previously can show their wristband at the door.
- Children must be checked-in for every session they attend. They can check-in for their program once doors open, and drop-off will begin 15 min before the start of session.
- Volunteers: Please refer to the email sent by your team lead for check-in times and locations.
- The option to register in-person will be available when doors open on Friday and Saturday. Please see one of our volunteers or staff in the lobby near the Info Table.
Parking & Transit
Due to several events in the area and usual weekend activity, we encourage everyone to ride share, bike, walk, stroll, or take public transit as an alternative to driving when possible.
If you need to drive, we ask that you carpool with others, and thoroughly read through this page we have created that shares more in-depth information on parking for Friday and Saturday.
Breakouts
We’re looking forward to engaging more deeply with one another and diving deeper into topics that are more focused. You’ll have the opportunity to select two sessions to attend. The breakout options include:
- Encountering God in Chaos: Led by Erica Yi, we’ll spend time considering the question, “How do I encounter God in a time-blocked schedule?” We’ll also have the opportunity to hear from members of our community, as well as reflect in prayer.
- Encountering God in Our Work: Led by Drew and Heather Wilkerson, we’ll explore what it means to work unto the Lord, no matter the area of industry.
- Encountering God in Dating & Singleness: Led by Dave Lomas, we’ll discuss what it means to be single well, and what healthy relationships look like as disciples of Jesus.
- Encountering God in Struggle: Led by Dale Gustafson, we’ll focus on how God meets us in our weaknesses and transforms them for His good.
Meals & Snacks
- Boxed lunches will be provided on Saturday for all attendees who have pre-registered for the conference.
- Dinner on Saturday will not be provided, but we encourage you to grab a meal in the neighborhood with your Community Group, another family, or a new friend you’ve met this weekend!
- Refreshments and light bites will be available throughout the conference.
Children’s Program
Our children’s program will be available for those who have pre-registered during each of our three main sessions, with childcare available during the breakouts. Additional details are being sent via email by our Children’s Team.
- Kids & families can check-in together when doors open both days.
- Drop-off for the Children’s Program will open 15 min before the start of each session. Drop-off windows are as follows:
- Session 1 | Friday, 6:45-7:15PM (Bethel Room)
- Session 2 | Saturday, 8:45-9:15AM (Bethel Room)
- Breakouts | Saturday, 2-2:30PM (Classrooms)
- Session 3 | Saturday, 6:15-6:45PM (Bethel Room)
- Pick-up will begin 15 min before the end of session, and parents/guardians will be asked to pick up their children no later than 15 min after the end of session. Children are welcome to join us in the Sanctuary for worship after they’ve been picked up on Friday and Saturday night. Pick-up windows are as follows:

- Session 2 | Saturday, 12:15-12:45PM (Classrooms)

Light bites and refreshments will be available in the lobby. So come early and hang out with us!
7PM | Session 1
Join us for the first session as we worship together, hear from our guest teacher Mark Sayers, and spend time responding to the Spirit together.
Saturday, September 28
9AM | Door & Check-in Opens
Adults and youth that checked-in previously will only need to show their wristband at the door. Children may check-in for their program at this time.
9:30AM | Session 2
This morning, we’ll spend time in worship through music and reflecting on places of encountering God in our own lives.
12:30PM | Lunch
The Sanctuary and Plaza will be open for you to enjoy your boxed lunch, or feel free to take it with you to a park or other location.
2:15PM | Breakout Session 1
3:15PM | Breakout Session 2
Pick one of the four options to attend during each breakout session. Options will be repeated.
4PM | Dinner Break
Grab a meal on your own in the neighborhood!
6PM | Doors & Check-in Open

6:30PM | Session 3
Join us as we close out the conference reflecting on what we’ve heard the Lord saying and revealing to us, spending time sharing how we’ve encountered Him over our time together. We’ll also hear an encouragement from Mark, and spend an extended time in praise and worship through music.
