Miljenko & Nethanja Bojčić
Miljenko and Nethanja Bojčić serve with Athletes in Action in Croatia and the Balkans, using sports as a way to share the gospel, develop leaders, and contribute to the flourishing of their communities. They have been involved in sports ministry for many years and were married in Zagreb in 2000. After serving together in Croatia, they moved to the Netherlands in 2002, where they raised their three children and continued to explore how sports could create opportunities for evangelism, discipleship, and community development.
Miljenko first became involved with Athletes in Action in 1994 after attending a European conference in Germany and later served as the full-time Athletes in Action coordinator for Croatia. Today, he helps develop the ministry’s strategy and leadership in Croatia while working alongside local leaders to strengthen the ministry. He also serves with the academy of NK Hašk, focusing on the holistic development of coaches and players and seeking to model a culture of growth, character, joy, love, and hope through sport.
Nethanja is involved in Athletes in Action projects throughout Croatia and serves on the European organizing team for Ultimate Training Camp, a high-intensity sports camp for adult athletes that brings together faith and competition. The camp helps athletes grow in their identity in Christ and learn how to glorify and testify about God through their sport. Together, Miljenko and Nethanja are also working toward establishing an Ultimate Training Camp in Croatia, as well as developing partnerships with football, basketball, and volleyball organizations and multisport camps for children.
Through their ministry, the Bojčićs hope to see a growing network of Christian athletes, coaches, and sports leaders across Croatia and the Balkans who are equipped to share their faith and contribute to the flourishing of their communities. Their vision is to help people grow through education, sport, and character development, creating opportunities for the gospel to take root both within the world of sports and through it.
